There's no better time to have a hot cup of coffee than during the cool winter weather. I was ecstatic when I was asked to review the Starbucks Verismo brewing system because I didn't own a coffee machine and had been drinking instant coffee! Before my review, I wasn't even aware that Staples carried brewing systems. Did you?
Starbucks Verismo 580 Brewer
The system can brew one cup at a time. I really love how compact it is; it doesn't take up much counter-top space.
The drip tray is removable and can be customized to the size of your cup, from dainty tea cups to It's-Monday-and-I-Need-A-Large-Amount-of-Caffeine-In-My-System cups.
There are three buttons located on the brewing system:
Espresso
Brewed coffee
Milk
The tank can hold 1 liter (33.8 fl oz) of water and is located in the back of the system. It is also easily removable.
The Starbucks Verismo system comes with 2 welcome kits containing select pods for you to try.
My husband wanted a latte, so he used the espresso pod and milk pod. :)
How Does the Verismo System Work?
You simply drop the pod into the Starbucks Verismo system, pull down the lever, and press a button! Your coffee will be ready in less than 15 seconds.
Mmm, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.
Voila! The final product:
See it in action:
The system has a built-in storage for used pods and can hold up to 10 of them. Once filled, you just remove the bin and discard the used pods.
The Starbucks Verismo 580 Brewer and coffee pods are available at Staples.com.
It is available in three colors: Piano Black, Burgundy, and Champagne.
